Что можно сделать из старого ноутбука?
У меня без дела лежал старый ноутбук и я задумался как дать ему вторую жизнь.
В связи с периодическими отключениями интернета и невозможностью смотреть онлайн тв, слушать музыку с умной колонки было решено соорудить из ноута медиасервер.
Выбор пал на Jellyfin. Я решил не ставить основной системой Linux, а ограничиться установкой десктопной версии для винды.
В результате:
Имеем возможность смотреть заранее скачанные фильмы и сериалы, а также слушать музыку. Работает на двух ТВ в доме по локальной сети в отсутствии доступа в интернет. Без интернета и платных подписок.
Вторым этапом я приспособил ноут под собственное облако для фото и видео с телефона при помощи Immich
Получилось что то вроде гугл-фото только личное и бесплатное. Для установки Immich пришлось повозиться с WSL (windows subsystem for linux) и Docker потому как не хотелось сносить винду. Возможно есть и другие пути установки. Подробные инструкции можно найти в интернете, их полно. Могу и я написать свою, если нужно)

Таким образом я использовал старый ноутбук для организации просмотра фильмов и хранения фото в личном облаке для семьи.
